VALLEY OF FLOWERS WITH BADRINATH FROM DELHI 9 N/10D
Badrinath is a Hindu holy town and a nagar panchayat in Chamoli district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Badrinath is the most important of the four sites in India's Char Dham pilgrimage. Badrinath is in the Garhwal hills, on the banks of the Alaknanda River, at an elevation of 3133 m. The holy shrine here is the Badrinath Temple dedicated to Hindu god Vishnu. The temple is stated to be of Vedic origin and over the eons has undergone many renovations.
Valley of Flowers
At the meeting point of the Himalayan ranges, Zanskar and Western and Eastern Himalayas, the valley of flowers discovered by Mountaineer Frank S Smith in 1931 has been declared a world heritage site for its wild untamed blooms surrounded by white peaks. Famous for its exotic varieties of medicinal herbs, it is also believed that Hanuman brought Sanjivani to the ailing Lakshmana from the valley of flowers. DAY WISE ITINERARY
DAY 1
Delhi – Haridwar
Arrive at Delhi. Report to the coach and proceed to Haridwar. Known as 'Gateway to the abode of Gods'. Arrive at Haridwar in the evening. Arrive at Haridwar in the evening.
DAY 2
Haridwar – Rudraprayag
Proceed to Rudraprayag a scenic drive through Himalayan mountain. Enroute pass by two confluences on Alaknanda river – The major contributory to Holy River Ganga. Devprayag (Bhagirathi and Alaknanda), Rudraprayag (Mandakini and Alaknanda) Arrive in Rudraprayag.
DAY 3
Rudraprayag – Govindghat – Ghangaria
Proceed to Govindghat – base village for Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib. Proceed to Ghangaria , on arrival for a beautiful trek route (14 kms) with magnificent Himalayan mountain views and river accompanying throughout. Arrive at Ghangaria - on the banks of Laxman Ganga. Enjoy an interesting documentary on Valley of Flowers.
DAY 4
Ghangaria – Valley of Flowers – Ghangaria
Explore your day with fully escorted trek to Valley of Flowers. The first part of the trek is through thick forest along the Pushpavati river. Later, trek in the open meadows. Arrive and explore the expansive and breathtakingly beautiful Valley area. Proceed back to Ghangaria.
DAY 5
Ghangaria – Hemkund Sahib – Ghangaria
Experience trek to Hemkund - internationally acclaimed, one of the finest high latitude lakes in Uttarakhand Himalayas. It is also a place of worship for Sikhs and Hindus. It’s an uphill trek to reach Hemkund. Proceed back to Ghangaria.
DAY 6
Ghangaria – Govindghat – Badrinath
Enjoy downhill trek (14 kms) from Ghangharia to Govindghat. Proceed to Barinath. On arrival visit Mana village, Saraswati river, Vyas Gumpha, Ganesh Gumpha, Bhim Bridge & Pandava's Swargarohan Margdarshan.
DAY 7
Badrinath – Joshimath
Visit Badrinath Temple, En route see fifth confluence Vishnu Prayag (Dhauli Ganga and Alaknanda). On arrival free time for relaxing in the Evening.
DAY 8
Joshimath – Auli – Kirtinagar
Proceed to Auli. Enjoy rope way ride to Auli (Subject to operation ). Proceed to Kirtinagar. Arrive at Kirtinagar.
DAY 9
Haridwar – Departure for Delhi
Proceed to Delhi. Board the flight for your home town. Tour Concludes.
