Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib from Delhi 8 Days/7 Nights
Valley of Flowers is a vibrant and splendid national park reposing in West Himalayas. Nestled in Uttarakhand, this alluring place is famous for its charming meadows of alpine flowers. Endowed with a diverse range of endemic flora, it is picturesque in its beauty. This lush region is also home to some rare and endangered animal species. You may spot animals like Asiatic black deer, snow leopard, musk deer, red fox, brown bear and blue sheep. High in the lofty Himalayas of the Garhwal region sprawls this enchanting valley. Legends believe it to be the place from where Hanuman had collected the Sanjeevani buti for curing Lakshmana. This place has floral pastures, running streams and beautiful backdrop of the mountains.
Hemkund Sahib- Hemkund Sahib is a highly revered Sikh place of worship in the world. What makes this religious site even more popular is its location at a dizzying height of 4636 m. Nestled in the lap of Garhwal Himalayas, this sacred Sikh pilgrimage destination is annually visited by a large number of devotees from far and wide before it closes down for the winter season between October and April. From the month of May, Sikh pilgrims start to arrive at Hemkund Sahib to help repair the damaged trail over the winter months first and then for performing pilgrimage. This tradition is called Kar Seva or selfless service, which forms an important concept in the Sikh faith. Hemkund Sahib also houses a scenic lake, in the water of which, the devotees take a dip. As per the Hindu mythology, Hemkunt Sahib was known as Lokpal, which is a lake that was a meditational grounds of Lakshman, the brother of Lord Rama.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1 : Delhi to Haridwar (6 Hours)
Drive 200 kms Altitude 294 mts Stay Hotel
Pick up from Delhi (pickup point will be a common and easily accessible place in New delhi, will be updated later) and transfer to Haridwar. Arrive Haridwar and check in at the hotel. In the evening witness the famous Haridwar Ganga Aarti at Har ki paudi. Overnight is at the hotel in Haridwar.
Day 2 : Haridwar/Rishikesh - Pipalkoti/Joshimath (7-9 Hours)
Drive 250-270 kms Altitude 1890 mts Stay Hotel
Early morning (0600 hrs) pick up from Haridwar railway station and later from Rishikesh bus stand (for guest joining from Haridwar or Rishikesh). Drive further to Pipalkoti / Joshimath which will take around 07 – 09 hrs. Arrive Pipalkoti/Joshimath and check in at the hotel. Overnight is at the hotel in Pipalkoti/Joshimath.
Day 3 : Pipalkoti/Joshimath - Govindghat (1-2 Hours), Govindghat to Ghangaria
Drive 30-60 kms Altitude 3028 mts Trek 13 kms Stay Camp
Today early in the morning, breakfast at hotel and later, drive to Govindghat. From here start your trek to Ghangaria. Ghangharia is a small and beautiful hamlet which is used as the base camp and last human habitation towards Valley of flowers and Hemkund Sahib.
Upon arrival at Govindghat, start your trek to Ghangharia. Arrive Ghangharia, check in at the hotel. Overnight is at the hotel in Ghangharia.
Day 4 : Ghangharia - Valley of Flowers - Ghangharia
Trek 8-12 kms Altitude 3028 mts Stay Camp
Today morning start your trek from Ghangharia to Valley of flowers; a beautiful path taking you from the midst of Jungle to a meadow full of blooming flowers. One can go deeper into the valley to explore it more.
After visiting Valley return to Ghangharia. Overnight is at the hotel in Ghangharia.
Day 5 : Ghangaria - Hemkund Sahib - Ghangaria
Trek 12 kms Stay Camp
Today morning start your trek to Hemkund Sahib, admiring the landscape all around. Do spot some flowers at the waysides spec. Blue Poppy & Brahmkamal.
After visiting Hemkund Sahib return to Ghangharia. Overnight is at hotel in Ghangharia.
Day 6 : Ghangaria - Govindghat - Rudraprayag

Today, in the morning start your trek down to Govindghat, from here drive to Rudraprayag. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Overnight is at the hotel in Rudraprayag.
Day 7 : Rudraprayag to Haridwar (7 Hours)
